To enable smarter farming for a better New Zealand TM

Ka pūkekotia a Rongomātāne, ka poho kererū a Aotearoa

About the Role:

We like to think of our Agri Managers as ‘the face’ of the business because, truth be told, that’s exactly what they are – our key link to farmers on their own turf. So, as one of them you’ll have an important part to play, serving up the products, support and innovative solutions our farmers have come to rely on us for. Of course, this means the bulk of your time will be spent on the road and on the farms, identifying farmers’ needs, selling solutions, and strengthening relationships – the type built on trust and mutual respect. The role will be based in Central Otago, covering customers in the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement a programme for visiting current and prospective customers, assessing their requirements and advising them on the most appropriate products and services, thus achieving sales targets.
  • Utilise the available technology to give maximum benefit to Ravensdown shareholders in terms of profitability and environmental leadership.
  • Ensure that end users’ needs and expectations are met through the continuous development of abilities and knowledge.

About You:

While helping farmers increase their profitability is a key focus of this role, you’re set for some impressive growth of your own. Because in terms of growing your career, there’s no better way to get more from your agronomic qualification, not to mention your comprehensive knowledge of soil fertility and farming inputs. And since you enjoy a good yarn, we reckon the social, down-to-earth camaraderie that comes with this job will be right up your alley.

Ideal Skills & Experience:

  • Agricultural related qualification
  • Experience working within the agricultural/soil fertility industry
  • Customer focus

  • Company car, phone, laptop and clothing provided
  • Excellent benefits package (competitive salary, 5% superannuation, medical insurance, allowances)
  • Generous investment in your ongoing training and development
  • Excellent development opportunities across the co-operative
  • Great company culture
