So, what should you expect from your first year at Ravensdown? Our current graduate program is constantly evolving and we envision that our next grads will spend a minimum of six months on a comprehensive development programme, gaining personal development and knowledge in the fertiliser, farm systems and environmental management arenas, and gain a good understanding of how our business operates. Beyond the initial 6 months of ‘basic training’, your next steps will depend on your individual strengths and learning timeline. Those coming from an agricultural or environmentally focused background can expect to move into our Regional Agri Support roles – working to pass on your knowledge and skills, by working directly with our valued farmer shareholders. There will also be opportunities to work on projects more specific to your study background. As your knowledge grows, there may be opportunities for you to advance within this supportive cooperative environment, into various areas within the business.
All applicants must be open to being based in other regions for short or extended periods, and open to permanent placement in a variety of locations in order to maximise their options.
The graduate programme is initially based out of Christchurch for a minimum of six months. This fantastic opportunity is open to a small number of individuals with an intake beginning in February 2018.
