About the Role:

We have an opportunity for a high performing Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Whanganui. This is a dynamic, challenging role where no two days are the same. From carrying out engine repairs in the field to completely rebuilding an airframe in the hangar, this role will allow you to utilise all your skills and experience. Ravensdown Aerowork is Part 145 and 148 certified with the capacity and capability to repair or rebuild almost every component used on the Cresco aircraft type. Additionally, we design, develop and embody aircraft modifications to continually improve and modernise our fleet.

About You:

You’ll need a passion for what you do, your attention to detail will be second to none, and you will be able to cope with pressure at times. The ability to exercise your excellent problem solving and decision-making skills combined with above average engineering abilities will help you succeed. Maintaining the flexibility to perform engine hot end inspections one day and rebuild a flap the next is key.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • NZ CAA certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license
  • Previous practical experience in aircraft maintenance
  • Excellent problem solving and diagnostic abilities
  • Technical expertise to monitor and assess the work completed by others
  • Sound written and verbal comprehension skills, with the ability to interpret technical instructions
  • Experience with using computerised maintenance management systems.
  • Experience with electro-hydraulics would be desirable.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Hold NZ CAA ratings relevant to the current Aerowork fleet, i.e. Group 1 airframe, PT6A rating as you will have the responsibility of documenting and certifying any maintenance completed on aircraft you are rated on
  • Aeronautical structural repair experience
