Ka pūkekotia a Rongomātāne, ka poho kererū a Aotearoa

We’re looking for a Quarry Worker to join our tight-knit, experienced quarry crew at our Te Kuiti Lime Quarry. You’ll look after the day-to-day operation of the processing plant and its machinery, ensuring production of high quality lime. We’re a busy quarry so there’ll be shift work involved, including various activities for maintaining plant reliability & cleanliness.

Skills & Experience:

You’ll have great people skills, and mobile plant and fixed processing plant experience is a definite bonus, as is a mechanical mind and knowledge of basic repair work. As a minimum, you’ll have a current full drivers’ licence, a commitment to following all health and safety requirements, and the initiative and willingness to get stuck in and learn.

About the Role:

For the right person, we can offer you the opportunity to join our cadetship scheme. With this, you’ll receive training and mentoring from experienced colleagues, following a set structure to qualify you with the relevant machinery and mobile plant licenses, first aid, hazard identification and other health and safety processes. You’ll progress through recognised industry qualifications and learn real skills to help you advance. You will ultimately obtain your B or A Grade Quarry Managers Certification.

Benefits:

So what can you expect in return? Well, you'll have plenty of autonomy, lots of interaction with local people, and stacks of opportunity to grow your career with one of New Zealand's most successful and respected co-operatives. We offer fantastic staff benefits (including medical, life and income protection insurances and 5% Superannuation to name a few) and an environment which values and promotes training and development.
