We’re seeking a committed and energetic individual to manage our bulk fertiliser store in Napier Port. This is a hands on role and you’ll receive full training in order to run the store as a sole man in charge.

About the role

As the Store Manager you’re responsible for the professional management of the store whilst providing excellence in customer service to exceed the expectations of both internal and external clients. The ability to optimise the stock turn at the store, while ensuring the stock level and service targets are continually achieved, is of paramount importance.

As a sole charge manager, you’ll have plenty of autonomy and the opportunity to pretty much run the show like it’s your own. We’re sure you’ll also get a lot out of building strong relationships with everyone from contractors to others in the Ravensdown team. Whether you’re processing bulk fertiliser orders, keeping track of stock levels, you’ll enjoy a sense of ownership that’ll result in a real sense of satisfaction.

Skills and Experience

Given the work environment and nature of the role, it’s essential you’re physically fit, mechanically-minded and comfortable at the controls of a forklift and loader.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

  • Experience with front end loader with the appropriate licenses
  • Outstanding customer service experience
  • The ability to build strong relationships
  • Experience in the bulk materials industry, including stocktaking
  • Computer literacy
  • Financial literacy – budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience in fixed and mobile plant operation
  • Easy-going personality, strong interpersonal skills
