We are seeking applications to a Store Person to join the team at our bulk fertiliser Service Centre in Te Puke. As a key member of our team, you’ll be keeping machinery running at optimum levels – and safely – so we’re best placed to help our farmers/shareholders, while you’re best placed for a rewarding job with great scope for growth. This position involves assisting in the yard with forklift and/or front-end loader operation, combined with customer service (in person and over the telephone); processing orders; and some office work.

This is a full-time role for a 4 months period and would ideally suit someone who has worked in a warehouse or bulk fertiliser store environment with a computer-based stock management and ordering system.

About the Role

It’s a job with variety too; you’ll be involved in driving heavy machinery, operating product blending, despatching and housekeeping. You’ll also need the desire and the ability to pick up our computer system and administrative processes.  If you like the idea of an enjoyable career with like-minded people, while contributing to the growth of your local community, this is the perfect place to make it happen.

About You

Given the work environment and nature of the role, it’s essential you’re physically fit, and mechanically-minded. You will also be comfortable at the controls of a loader and forklift.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

  • Experience in forklift and front-end loader operation with relevant licenses (ideally with WTR)     
  • Customer Service experience
  • Mobile plant driving experience
  • Positive collaborative attitude
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Have a reasonable level of computer literacy
  • A good telephone manner
