About the role

We are seeking a creative and self-motivated Video Specialist with a passion for video production. Reporting to the Digital Manager and based in our Christchurch office this full-time position requires an experienced multi-tasker who knows how to move quickly to capture and tell an engaging visual story. You will be responsible for creating, developing, and editing video projects, photography, creative web content, social media assets, 2D and 3D animation and other multimedia marketing content needed to help tell the Ravensdown story.

About you

You will have a "newsroom" mentality (fast paced and quick turnaround), possess a love of digital media and be able to infuse the Ravensdown brand voice into your work. You will be comfortable developing and producing creative content across multiple platforms, specifically but not exclusively for social media, which reaches our fans and helps distinguish our brand compelling individuals to amplify our message. You will be expected to leverage digital tools, technology and platforms to enhance storytelling impact and connect with the Ravensdown audience. The role will include a wide variety of content production, photo and video editing, and content-related project management.

The ideal candidate will be a gifted storyteller and have proven-success in video and multimedia, be visually creative and have exceptional time management skills.

You must be a self-managing machine taking idea after idea to full conception with minimal executive involvement for content covering (but not limited to) product announcements, promotional campaigns, product tutorials, testimonials and more. In addition to video, you must demonstrate experience in managing and executing web, graphics and social media projects.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Relevant design and multimedia degree level qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with multimedia production.
  • Video post-production skills - video editing, sound mixing, title creation and animation.
  • Knowledge of corporate design practices and graphic design theory, layout and design principles.
  • Experience in video production, including camera operation, lighting and composition.
  • Highly skilled with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, with a strong emphasis on Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • 3D Computer skills; experience with 3D software such as 3DS Max, Autodesk Maya or Blender.
  • Knowledge of basic web design including HTML/CSS would be an advantage.
  • Experience managing a production budget.
  • Ability to undertake occasional travel off-site to out of town locations.
  • Strong ability to build and develop relationships with internal stakeholders and teammates.
  • Commitment to teamwork and the ability to develop the wider team through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
